BSS Crew 2026 – Wildlife & Snorkel Guide

Fancy joining our team for the 2026 peak season? We’re recruiting one guide to join our small crew. Check out our video social post (note it’s from 2025) for an idea of the good the bad & the ugly to see if you think you have what it takes. We do and see amazing things but it’s hard work, unrelenting in peak season and the weather can be extremely challenging at times.
The job will be based in Oban from the start till mid July then Isle of Coll till mid August (accommodation provided for the 7 weeks based on Coll). Start date will be depending on experience but likely April/May but this is TBC, we’ll know more by the time of interviews.

For the role you will also need to consider the following
- Short term accommodation in Oban
- Own kit (7mm open cell wetsuit, gloves,, sock/boots, mask/snorkel & fins (ideally plastic free dive style)
- Guiding & Personal Kit, (binos, wet weather & warm gear)
- Certs (ML5 medical, first aid, UK driving licence)
- Knowledge ( we will provide you guidance on subject matter & training but expect that you would have a lot of background knowledge ready to share with our clients before starting).
