This is a fantastic way for almost anyone to experience the water! Don’t be put off by the name – you can lie, sit, kneel or stand and enjoy this tranquil sport. In Oban and Argyll, we are surrounded by amazing and often remote locations which our expert guides will share with you. We will handpick the sites based on your abilities, making this a perfect experience for advanced paddle boarders and beginners alike. It’s amazing how much you can see in 2 hours on the board, we particularly love finishing the day watching the spectacular west coast sunset.

  • 2 hours to introduce paddle-boarding on Argyll’s coast
  • Discover sandy beaches and epic scenery with panoramic island and Highland views.
  • Learn about the wildlife and critters from our expert guides
  • Peer down to see the kelp forests and fish below.
  • Visit responsibly guided by a marine biologist
  • Enjoy the golden hour on the water watching the sunset over the Hebrides

You will try paddle boarding at one of our favourite sites, which we will choose based on your experience and weather conditions on the day. You will be emailed the meeting location before your booked date. We will meet you at the water with your pre-booked equipment

For more information on travel and staying in Oban please see our FAQs.

On the Tour

Once you arrive at the site your guide will meet you and guide you through your equipment. They will provide you with ample time to discuss and ask questions before getting in the water.

We will help you change into your wetsuit, demonstrate the use of the paddle and provide our top tips!

We can spend up to an hour on the water, but the session is yours so there is no expectation to stay in the full time.

Once out you can get changed, enjoy a hot chocolate and talk about your amazing experience.
