No. We can provide everything you need for snorkelling. This can be added at the time of booking.

Minimum gear required for snorkelling:

• 7mm full wetsuit
• 5mm hood
• 3mm gloves
• Mask & snorkel
• Thick boots or fin socks
• Open heel fins or freediving fins

We have carefully selected our hire gear to be suitable for our Atlantic adventures through a number of years of operation and we have learnt what works and what doesn’t work. Any suit of your own must be in good condition and fit well.

We do not recommend:

• Shorty wetsuits
• Wetsuits less than 7mm
• Open water swimming suits
• Swim caps (instead of hoods)
• Drysuits
• Full face snorkelling masks

Essential:

• Snorkelling gear – hire here.
• Swimming costume (wear under clothes)
• Food – plenty!
• Water – plenty!
• Warm layers: Hats, jumpers, waterproofs
• Sun protection: glasses, hats, sunscreen
• Towel
• Medication i.e. inhalers/ epipens/ seasickness tablets (take before you get on the boat).
• Underwear
• Sturdy footwear

Optional:

• Cameras
• Binoculars
• Changing robe
• Flask
• Midge repellent
• Tick remover

We provide hot drinks once you get out of the water.

If you are in between sizes it’s best to go on body size rather than height.

We bring the equipment requested on the trip with us so unfortunately there isn’t an opportunity to try it on beforehand. Please give contact us if you are unsure.

Sorry – no. We need our gear for our tours and cannot provide gear to anyone who has not booked with us.

Yes – we have GoPros that you can hire for the duration of your tour. You can add this at the time of booking. We also have memory cards available for purchase so that you can take your amazing memories home! If you would prefer to bring your own you will need to provide a micro SD.

A weight belt is not required for snorkelling. If you are an experienced snorkeller or free diver and would like to use a weight belt, there will be a limited amount on board each boat for your use.
